Among tonight’s agenda topics is the 2010-11 budget. Finance Committee
and School Board member discussion on Budget reductions and revenue

| UHS Earns Top Honors in County-Wide Computer Fair |
| Nick Jones and Brandon McKay were First Place winners and move on to State competition. Jen Liegeot and Drew DeJulius earned third place medals. Congratulations to all competitors.

| Speech and Debate Team Success for Unionville at State Tournament |
| The speech and debate State Tournament was held at Susquehanna University
last weekend, where each event's top two competitors from each district
came to compete.

| Congratulations to Becca Jackson and Michael Rosenberg for earning spots in the 2010 All State Choir to be held in Pittsburgh in April. This is the first time in at least 7 years that more than one singer has been
selected for this ensemble.

| Amanda Chou was selected for All State Orchestra. She is a junior violinist as is our Concertmistress. Congratulations to Amanda. States will be in April in Pittsburgh culminating in a concert in Heintz Hall.

| Congratulations to Mason Popham for his seventh place finish at the PIAA state wrestling tournament |
| Mason is only the third UHS wrestler to medal (Joey Bonaduce and Zack Leathers were the others). He also picked up his 100th career win at the tournament.

| Baseball Practice Schedule for Mar 12 |
The Varsity Baseball team will be using the KAU facility today March 12th
from 3PM-5PM. The JV Baseball team will be using the regularly scheduled
CFPatton MS gym time. There is no Freshman tryout today. The Varsity
split into two groups today: See Below!!!!
Group 1- 3pm-4pm= Neil Sheehan, Bartnicki, Fries, Griffith, D. Sheehan,
Christopher, Nance, Kurrey,Donze
Group 2- 4pm-5pm= O'Malley, Wing, Hissey, Hertz, Fulton, Guin, Kirkland,

| Track and Field Completes Indoors Season, Moves Outside |
On Saturday the Indoor Track and Field teams completed their season at Penn State in the Indoor State Championship Meet. The team was led by senior Evan Ulatowski's 13th place finish and Indoor
PR of 50.36. Junior Glen Burkhardt was in 12th place with a PR of 8:54.55 in the the 3000 meter run. Teammate Matt Fischer finished 19th in the 3000 meter run. And Junior Alicia Minella represented the girls team by finishing 20th in both the 60 meter hurdles and the 200 meter dash.
The outdoor season starts today at 2:45 in the auxillary gym.

| Congratulations to the District swimmers for their performance at the District 1 Championships this weekend. |
Hillary Yarosh won the 100 butterfly and got second in the 100 freestyle and was a member of the school record setting 200 medley relay with Laura Stephens, Kendall Somer, and Mackenzie Hornibrook that got second as well. Shane Austin won the 100 freestyle and was a member of the school record setting 200 free relay with Nick Hojnacki, Rich Wentz, and Derrick Hayes that got third. Laura Stephens and Kendall Somer tied for 11th in a school record setting time in the 200 Individual Medley. Laura also got sixth in the 100 breast as did Sean McCarthy in the 50 free. Kendall Somer got 9th in the 100 breast and was a member of the sixth place 400 freestyle relay with Mackenzie, Laura, and Hillary. Sean McCarthy, Derrick Hayes, Shane Austin, and Rich Wentz got 5th in the 400 freestyle relay as well.
The following swimmers will be moving onto compete at PIAA State Championships next week: Shane Austin, Sean McCarthy, Rich Wentz, Derrick Hayes, Nick Hojnacki, Matt Drohan, Hillary Yarosh,
Kendall Somer, Laura Stephens, Mackenzie Hornibrook
Congratulations to all swimmers on a successful season. Good luck to the state qualifiers!!

| UHS Softball Tryouts Begin March 8! |
Tryouts for the 2010 UHS Varsity and JV softball teams will take place March 8-11 from 2:45-4:45 PM each day at the Patton MS main gym, EXCEPT for March 10 when the tryouts will be held in the UHS main gym. Make sure you are prepared for both indoor and outdoor play on each day. Also,
please make sure you have all the appropriate paperwork before tryouts begin. Any questions, contact Coach John Walsh at jwalsh@ucfsd.org.
